2015 Summer on Augusta Festival Announces Community Shuttle
June 29, 2015GREENVILLE, SC – Augusta Road Business Association (ARBA) announces the 2015 Summer on Augusta Festival, which takes place July 23 through July 25, and is presented by Virginia Hayes of Coldwell Banker Caine. Summer on Augusta is a community festival celebrating one of Greenville’s most historic business districts. Festivities and live music will take place all along Augusta Road. Supporting sponsors include Muncaster Financial Services, Southern First Bank and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices C. Dan Joyner, REALTORS. Virginia Hayes and Richard Muncaster are both founding sponsors of Summer on Augusta.
This annual celebration is created by members of Augusta Road Business Association to bring the community together for good food, great music and family friendly atmosphere. Live music is a focus of Summer on Augusta and will include many styles of music including beach music, Americana and country. Featured local bands and musicians include The Royal Scotsmen Band, Tim White, Spencer Rush, Charles Hedgepath, Jeff Buchanan and Brandon Gallagher.
This year SOA will include a Community Shuttle. The shuttle is sponsored and serviced by Primrose School of Greenville. There will be two buses with a total of eight shuttle stops. The SOA Community Shuttle is an addition to the festivities that creates a fun activity for families, helps with parking, as well as safe travels to and from events.
The 2015 Summer on Augusta events celebrate summer in the south with many themed events and attractions. This year SOA will include a Community Shuttle that will be serviced by Primrose School. Look forward to the Third Annual Tomato Pie Contest happening on Saturday, July 25. Some of the judges include Megan Heidlberg from Your Carolina, Police Chief Ken Miller, 2014 First Place winner Debbi Kaplan and Jennifer Glover of Carolina Girl Cooks. Additional events include Block Party at Capers Place, Grillin’ and Chillin’ at Augusta Commons, Hound Dog Social at Augusta Village and Shaggin’ on Augusta.
