2017 “Art Rish Employee of the Year” announcement

Chief Terrence Green announced that Corporal Cameron Mortenson was chosen by his peers as the recipient of the ”Art Rish Employee of the Year” award for 2017.

Corporal Cameron Mortenson has been with the Lexington Police Department since 2001 and has worked assignments within the Patrol Division, Traffic Division, K-9 Handler, Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team, Criminal Investigations Division and for nearly four years, he has been assigned to the Special Operations Division where he works with the Community Action Team, School Resource Officers, Traffic Division and he is also a Public Information Officer for the department.

Chief Terrence Green said, “Corporal Cameron Mortenson is recognized throughout the department as a team player who is committed to the department’s mission, and to both the safety and welfare of the people that he serves. Corporal Cameron Mortenson’s exceptional devotion to duty and outstanding performance reflects credit upon himself and the Lexington Police Department.”

Corporal Cameron Mortenson was presented with this award during the annual Lexington Police Department awards ceremony on Friday, December 15, 2017 and he was recognized by the Town of Lexington Council during the monthly meeting on Tuesday, January 2, 2017.
