29th Annual BI-LO Charity Classic Raises $5,104,362 for Non-Profits Across Southeast

GREENVILLE, SC – June 4, 2012 – As the 29th annual BI-LOCharity Classic golf tournament came to a close on Monday evening, June4, BI-LO Charities announced this year’s tournament raised a total of$5,104,362 to aid non-profit organizations across South Carolina, NorthCarolina, Georgia and Tennessee which benefit BI-LO Charities’ three keyinitiatives: enhancing the lives of children, improving education andnourishing the hungry.

BI-LO is honored to be an integral part of the communities we serve.The 2012 tournament marks another year of success, said BI-LO Presidentand Chairman of BI-LO Charities Michael Byars.  Due to the support ofour suppliers, our teammates and members of our community, we lookforward to seeing these funds make a positive, lasting impact.

Since 1984, the BI-LO Charity Classic has raised more than $63 million for hundreds of charities throughout the Southeast.

Festivities began on Saturday evening, June 2, with the President’sParty held at Hartness Estate for top level sponsors.  Tournamentparticipants and guests were treated to a Pairings Party and Auction onSunday, June 3, at Hartness Estate.
