Aloft Greenville Downtown Announces Director of Sales Michael Bonasia

Upstate resident and hospitality industry veteran to lead sales team at Aloft Greenville Downtown

  

GREENVILLE, SC – McKibbon Hotel Management, Inc., one of the Southeast’s leading hotel management groups with more than 80 properties, announces the appointment of Michael Bonasia to the position of director of sales at the Aloft Greenville Downtown slated to open in November 2015. Bonasia, an Upstate resident, will be responsible for managing the sales and marketing efforts for the new lifestyle hotel located at ONE City Plaza in downtown Greenville.

Bonasia has more than 15 years of hospitality industry experience and most recently served as director of sales at the Hyatt Place in Greenville. He also served as general manager at the Courtyard by Marriott Greenville Downtown and the Hampton Inn & Suites Greenville Downtown at RiverPlace. Throughout his career, Bonasia has been continually recognized for meeting and exceeding sales goals, while seamlessly managing hotels to achieve a friendly atmosphere and superior guest experience.

Located at Greenville’s ONE City Plaza, Aloft Greenville Downtown, a Starwood Hotel and Resort lifestyle hotel, will sit atop a new 474-space public parking garage and feature 144 spacious, loft-like rooms, leading-edge technology and a lively, social atmosphere. The hotel will be the McKibbon brand’s second hotel in South Carolina and their third Aloft hotel, joining Aloft Asheville Downtown and Aloft Tallahassee. The hotel will feature an outdoor level on the sixth floor with cabana rooms, a fire pit, dog walk and sun-filled outdoor pool elevated for views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, all facing Washington Street. Aloft brand’s signature W XYZ® bar will sit on the fourth floor and open up to The Ledge overlooking the plaza. Local artwork from Greenville artists will decorate the hotel’s public spaces and local, emerging musicians will play at the hotel’s live music series, Live@Aloft.
