Greenville Track Club taking Hall of Fame Nominations

July 23, 2012

GREENVILLE, SC – July 23, 2012 – The Greenville Track Club is looking for nominations to enshrine the first selections into its Hall of Fame.

Founded in 1972, the Greenville Track Club is the second oldest running club in South Carolina as well as its largest. It is the fastest growing in the Southeast. The common thread among the members is a desire to stay fit, enjoy the fellowship of likeminded friends and have fun while doing their thing.

This year the GTC is celebrating its 40th Anniversary with a number of activities including a special celebration banquet at the Furman University Younts Convention Center on August 18.

To further commemorate this milestone, they have created a Greenville Track Club Hall of Fame.  The Hall of Fame Committee consists of Bill Keesling, Susi Smith, Joe Hammond, Adrian Craven and Darrell Jennewine, who have been creating the format and are eagerly anticipating the submission of qualified nominees.

Nominees can be current or former runners, volunteers, offices, promoters and the like.  Anyone (member or not) may nominate someone for the Hall of Fame. The nomination form will be posted on the Greenville Track Club website at www.greenvilletrackclub.com.

All other forms will be emailed to nominators as needed. The induction ceremony will be held during the September 10th Club Meeting.
