The CarMax Foundation awards $10,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia is honored to announce receiving a $10,000 grant through The CarMax Foundation.

The CarMax Foundation is committed to funding programs that show measurable results and benefits to the community, are fiscally responsible, transparent and well-managed, provide superior customer service and engage CarMax associates in philanthropic efforts.

Established in 2003, The CarMax Foundation was created to support communities where their associates live and work. The foundation recognizes nonprofit organizations in that are using the power of volunteers to improve and make a positive impact in the community. Over the past several years, CarMax has provided volunteers, matched gifts and awarded grants to worthy nonprofit organizations.

“We are very proud to be selected as a recipient of The CarMax Foundation grant from CarMax, and we are grateful for the work that this wonderful group does for the community of the Midlands. We are also excited to have CarMax associates volunteer this year at Bowl for Kids’ Sake,” said Amanda Nemenz, President and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia.
