Southern Grilled Peaches

Sweet and Spicy with a hint of “Hey Y’all” thrown in!

 

Southern Grilled PeachesIngredients:

  • Butter, olive oil or organic cooking spray (to oil grill)
  • 4 medium peaches, slightly soft to the touch

 

Marinade:

  • 2 Tbsp. 100% Maple Syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/8 Tsp. garlic powder
  • Pinch red hot pepper flakes
  • Pinch salt

 

Directions:                                     

  1. Heat clean grill to 400 degrees (medium heat).
  2. Moisten grill with butter, olive oil or cooking spray.
  3. Wash and dry peaches.
  4. Cut, split in half, and remove pit using metal spoon.
  5. Place peaches cut side down, close lid, and grill for 4 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, mix marinade ingredients in a small bowl.
  7. Turn peaches and brush with marinade.
  8. Close lid and grill 3 more minutes.
  9. Transfer peaches to a serving plate.
  10. Brush or drizzle remaining marinade over peaches.
  11. Can be served warm or cooled.
  12. Makes a great side dish for chicken, fish, and seafood or a yummy dessert served over vanilla ice cream.
