Jeffrey Gersbach, MD, Joins Nason Medical Center

CHARLESTON, SC – July 12, 2013 – Veteran emergency physician Jeffrey C. Gersbach is the newest addition to the medical staff at Nason Medical Center, it was announced today by Barron Nason, MD, Medical Director and co-founder of the emergency and urgent care system with five Charleston-area locations. 

Doctor Gersbach brings more than 25 years of board-certified expertise in emergency medicine. He earned a B.S. in Biology from the University of Richmond (VA), a graduate degree with honors from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, and his doctorate from The Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Gersbach then performed Internship, Residency in General Surgery, and Fellowships at Boston University Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. He has practiced Emergency Medicine in South Carolina and Virginia since 1992.

 

Nason Medical Center is an emergency and urgent care service with five locations in the Lowcountry. The purpose-built facilities have state-of-science trauma equipment to handle any emergency. Onsite diagnostic and imaging services include CT Scans, X-Rays, Ultrasound, Echocardiography, and Vascular Studies. Lab services include Cholesterol, Blood Chemistry, Urinalysis, Hematology, Pregnancy, and Flu Screening. All locations are open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. No appointment is needed, so walk-ins are welcome. Patients pay a fraction of the amount typically charged at hospital-based emergency rooms and are usually seen much sooner, with wait times that average 12 minutes.
