Fifth Annual Amazing Health Expo at Trident Tech
Roper St. Francis Healthcare hosts community health fair
CHARLESTON, SC – February 9, 2012 – Jump start the Spring season with the Roper St. Francis Healthcare Amazing Health Expo. Lowcountry families are invited to this fifth annual event that delivers health information and offers resources to live a healthier lifestyle, along with breakfast, lunch and snacks for a minimal fee.
The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, March 1 at Trident Technical College, 7000 Rivers Ave., Building 920, in North Charleston. More than a dozen RSFH physicians and medical experts will participate in this fifth annual community event.
Topics that will be offered this year include joint, heart, and eye health, weight loss and diabetes information. Attendees will also be able to browse the health fair throughout the day.
The event is open to anyone in the community for a $10 fee that includes breakfast, lunch and snacks. On site parking is available and free of charge. Pre-registration is required – to make a reservation, call (843) 402-CARE (2273).
Registration, the health fair and breakfast begins at 8 a.m. Health and wellness screenings and educational material will be available, in addition to three main sessions:
* Session 1: Oh My Aching Joints; Keeping Your Heart Healthy; How the Female Body Changes with Age
* Session 2: A Closer Look at Eye Health; Keeping Your Diabetes in Check; Be Healthy, Be Happy
* Session 3: Looking Great at Any Age; Weigh Loss Solutions for Life; Managing a Chronic Illness
