New Product Development Training Program to be Offered in Cities Across South Carolina
August 18, 2009CHARLESTON, COLUMBIA & GREENVILLE, SC – August 18, 2009 – Brought to you by South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership, the USC Moore School of Business, the South Carolina Manufacturer’s Alliance, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, and New Carolina, Profit 101! Advanced Product Development will be held in Greenville, Columbia, Aiken, Rock Hill, Greenwood, Florence and Charleston throughout September and October. For exact dates and locations, please visit www.scmep.org/profit101/.
The workshop is a half day training simulation program that teaches a reliable system for accelerating profitable growth, more profitable products or services and how to reach more profitable customers and markets (imports/ exports, government contracting, new industries). This program also includes an interactive case study format that makes the teaching come to life. It is based on SCMEP’s Eureka Winning Ways (EWW!) methodology used by several SC manufacturers that applies the research of 4,000 ideas and 6,000 innovations that were studied to discover what drives success. EWW! helps companies reduce cycle time by 50%, increase product delivery to 90%, and reduce manufacturing cost by 30%.
The program is created for the entire management team including CEOs, Presidents, COOs, CROs, sales, marketing, R&D teams, engineers and others. Attendees will learn why it is important to know the difference between features and benefits; why consumers of your product need a real reason to believe; how to leverage diversity in your company’s product ideas; why your company should start behaving like a startup company …and more!
The training simulation program can help any company that is looking to diversify or differentiate itself from the competition in the pursuit of profitable growth. The program will help manufacturers increase profitability from current customers, leverage current capabilities to get new customers, and use development strategies to cut costs and time to market.
