Bilingual tele-town hall to focus on education & health care during COVID-19

In an effort to share important information on education and health care during the coronavirus pandemic, Richland Library is hosting a bilingual tele-town hall event to support families and caregivers in the Latinx community.
The hour-long call takes place 6:30 p.m., Thursday, April 9. It plans to cover ways of propelling students academically and socially in a virtual learning environment as well as keeping families safe.
Hear from representatives from the following agencies – with translations in both English and Spanish:
- Richland Library
- Richland School District One
- Richland School District Two
- Eau Claire Cooperative Health Center
“As we limit our contact with others to prevent community spread of the coronavirus, local residents are eager to connect, and they need trusted information during these uncertain times,” said Richland Library Executive Director Melanie Huggins. “The goal of this bilingual tele-town hall event is to empower people with the knowledge and resources that they need to advocate – not only for themselves – but for their families as well.”
A question-and-answer session is set to follow presentations from the representatives.
