Joi social selling tool launches WeFunder campaign

November 13, 2020

Booster TV, a Greenville-based software company, announces the launch of its public fundraising on WeFunder, allowing any member of the public to become a shareholder.

Booster is the team behind a new social-selling tool, called Joi, which allows network marketers to sell their products directly on Facebook.

There are nearly seven million network marketing representatives in the US, working for companies like Avon, Mary Kay, Rodan + Fields, and many more. They are primarily women and disproportionately minorities, participating in one of the few industries that have experienced noticeable growth during the COVID pandemic.

You can see an introduction to Joi and how it can help these underserved entrepreneurs here.

Joi CEO, Michael Stevens, said: “We are excited to launch our equity crowdfunding campaign on WeFunder. Joi is a tool that helps the public sell their products faster and easier, so it makes sense to offer the public a chance to become a shareholder in our company. We’re hopeful we can meet our fundraising goal so we can launch Joi in the coming weeks.

Booster has previously had funding from VentureSouth (a top 10 angel investing group in North America) and SC Launch (a leading provider of early-stage capital in South Carolina).

Paul Clark, a managing director of VentureSouth, commented: “WeFunder allows people to support local companies with investments from as little as $100. It is a great way for cheerleaders of entrepreneurs to provide tangible support for their growth, and so we are pleased to invest more in Michael and his team.”
