SC Works Trident to launch virtual hiring series

SC Works Trident is continuing to develop innovative solutions to connect area job-seekers and employers with the announcement of a new virtual hiring series. The first event will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. and feature local beer distributor, Lee Distributors.

The new online format will allow job-seekers to connect with top employers and new job opportunities from the safety of their own homes. Each event will feature one area employer and serve as a venue for job-seekers to build relationships with recruiters and learn more about the specific needs and skills the company is hiring for.

The first event with Lee Distributors is perfect for those job-seekers who are seeking employment as Class A CDL Drivers or merchandisers.

“Our goal is to continue to provide new ways for employers and job-seekers to come together,” said Sharon Goss, Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments Workforce Development director. “We are excited for this new format which we believe will allow for more interaction and allow job-seekers to continue to safely take their next steps to employment during this pandemic.”

SC Works Trident encourages attendees to be prepared for the event by following these guidelines:

• Be prepared to email your updated resume to employers
