Procurement – Supply Chain Manager
October 18, 2021We are looking to add an experienced Procurement – Supply Chain Manager to our Team. The Procurement – Supply Chain Manager will develop execute sourcing strategies that leverage the Company’s spending and provide value in supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality and performance.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Develop and execute sourcing and planning strategies that improves cost, lead times and working capital, mitigate supply risk, ensure high quality of materials / services and rationalize supply base.
Manage raw material inventory levels to meet company inventory policies and to maximize financial returns.
Develop internal policies, procedures and tools necessary to implement sourcing initiatives.
Analyze market trends to create leverage, identify sourcing alternatives and drive cost reduction activities for direct and indirect materials / services.
Work collaboratively with global operations, product development and commercial teams to improve overall cost and customer satisfaction.
Conduct competitive sourcing bids / events, lead contract negotiations and execute long term supply agreements.
Monitor strategic suppliers’ key performance indicators, conduct supplier business reviews and implement supplier continuous improvement plans.
Support requirements for certifications (ISO, TS (Automotive), etc.) including documentation, internal and supplier audits, etc.
Some travel to other Fibertex, supplier, and customer locations
Qualifications/Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Material Management, Supply Chain or related field or equivalent. APICS Certification a plus.
3 -7 years of experience (Nonwovens, textiles, or automotive preferred) developing RFPs, negotiating contracts and managing supply agreements.
Team player/builder with ability to work effectively across business or functional lines.
Working knowledge of scheduling software and production and inventory control systems
Able to operate independently and under pressure within a rapidly changing environment.
Excellent computer skills and familiarity with most common software packages including Microsoft Office. Strong Excel skills a must
Working knowledge of manufacturing lean principles.

Strong interface with Production Manager, Warehouse Manager and Supervisors
Critical Material Suppliers interface
