The Associate Director of Housing for Administration and Business Operations (ADHABO) leads the department occupancy management and technological process (including the housing application, assignments, fee assessments and room changes) for campus housing and summer housing including placing camps/conferences. Generates Occupancy Reports and other related reporting functions weekly. As a highly visible member of the university community, they interact across divisional lines and works collaboratively with many segments of the university through education, consultation, advisement, and referral.

Provides leadership, management, and strategic direction for the housing contract and policies, applications and assignments, communication plan, marketing, and technology. This position establishes appropriate timetables for housing assignments processes including a communication plan, dates, and deadlines. Creates a long-range vision for student and administrative services, follows best practices, and works to support the strategic plan of the department, division, and university while collaborating with the housing leadership team to create a caring, supportive, collegial, learning, and team focused department. This may include establishing committees, work groups/focus groups or developing programs to meet departmental, divisional, and university needs.

Develops and edits the content of the StarRez Housing Portal and all modules (listed below) providing annual revisions and enhancements. Develops content and edits the department website (with University Marketing and Communication). Manages key inventory and card access systems (CS Gold).

Manages housing revenue and expenditures, verification and documentation of financial transactions and under the supervision of the Director, prepare, manage and execute the department budgets (including reports, purchase orders, requisitions, direct payments, etc.). In conjunction with Procurement Services, initiates solicitations as needed.

Supervise the Assistant Director of Housing for Communication. Participate in the selection decisions for ACUHO-I Interns and supervise the Housing Operations intern. Serves as back up to the Director. Provides input on policies and processes in housing and residence life areas. As a member of the HRL team, assists with opening and closing of residence halls each semester. Coordinates with Facilities Management and other stakeholders year-round to ensure facilities are ready for occupancy assignments. Reports to the Director for Housing and Residential Life.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Student Personnel Services or related field and 3-year related experience post Master’s, or bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience in Residence Life post-Bachelor’s. Valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and a successful background check are required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing and updating the HMS system as a PowerUser. Experience in fiscal operations and accounting preferred. Related experience in a higher education environment/campus housing and residential life / Housing Administration-Assignments is desirable.

Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in the following area is desirable: student employment, supervision, budgeting, human relations skills, organizational skills and communication skills. Experience working collaboratively with faculty, staff, and university constituents.

Salary: $51,586
