Dorchester County partners with The Salvation Army for 2024 Do More Christmas Angel Tree Program
September 26, 2024Dorchester County partners once again with The Salvation Army for the third annual Do More Christmas initiative. Through the Angel Tree Program, we are committed to helping local Dorchester County families in need during the holiday season. Last year, nearly 300 families were served, with a significant number of distributions at Woodland High School.
This year’s Angel Tree sign-ups will begin in October, with registration events taking place at the following locations:

Saturday, October 5th: 10 AM – 1 PM
St. George Library, 506 N. Parler Ave., St. George -
Tuesday, October 8th: 12 PM – 4 PM
N. Charleston Library, 8620 Patriot Blvd., N. Charleston -
Wednesday, October 9th: 5 PM – 8 PM
Faith Hispana, 3001 Landing Pkwy., N. Charleston -
Saturday, October 12th: 10 AM – 1 PM
Summerville Library, 76 Old Trolley Rd., Summerville
Required Documentation
To register, applicants must bring the following documentation:

For the applicant and household members over 13 years old: State-issued ID, passport, or other valid photo ID.

For children 13 and younger: Birth certificate, passport, Medicaid card, or other documents with the child’s birth date.

Proof of Address: A recent utility bill, lease, or a letter from a local school showing the applicant’s address.

Proof of Income: EBT printout or verification of income and expenses for the entire household.
Angel Tree tags will be available starting in early November for those interested in supporting families by purchasing gifts for children.
