TRIO celebrates 18 years of CreateAthon by donating over $125,000 in free marketing services

Five local nonprofits received dozens of marketing deliverables

Trio Solutions Inc. (TRIO), a full-service marketing agency in Mount Pleasant, presented its work to five Lowcountry nonprofits following its 18th annual CreateAthon. The team donated over $125,000 in free marketing services during its 24-hour yearly pro bono creative work blitz held in October. Over the years, TRIO has supported 90 South Carolina nonprofits through its CreateAthon program and provided more than $1.5 million in pro bono marketing services.

“Every year, our team hustles and puts in tremendous effort to produce excellent work for our CreateAthon recipients,” says TRIO’s founder and CEO Jessica Munday. “This local give-back initiative is one of my favorite times of the year. Using our collective professional talents to serve the greater good is truly special for our team and the nonprofits we support.”

As the Lowcountry’s exclusive CreateAthon agency, TRIO selected four nonprofit applicants, plus the community selected a People’s Choice recipient for the 2024 event. This year’s recipients included She’s the Veteran, Dragon Boat Charleston, Let’s Walk!, Pet Helpers and Blessed Hands Food Pantry.

TRIO provided a range of creative services to the selected nonprofits, including a new website for Blessed Hands Food Pantry, a planning session and social media graphic templates for She’s the Veteran, a GivingTuesday campaign for Pet Helpers and marketing materials for Dragon Boat Charleston and Let’s Walk. Additionally, all recipients benefited from a comprehensive social media and equity audit.

“Having a website designed and built in 24 hours was so impressive,” said Cathy Hughes Blessed Hands Food Pantry founder and executive director. “We had no online presence, and now this website will help us reach more people and fulfill our mission both in-person and online.”
