Cruisin’ for a Cause

Boaters and lake lovers are invited to unite for a day of fun and purpose on Saturday, August 16, 2025, during the annual Cruisin’ for a Cause event on Lake Greenwood. From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., participants will cruise to five scenic stops, all while raising funds to support individuals served by the Burton Center and the Laurens County Disabilities and Special Needs Board.

This meaningful event blends summer fun with heartfelt giving. With food, entertainment, beverages, and chances to win auction items and prizes, participants will enjoy a full day on the lake, culminating in a final gathering at Camp Fellowship. The last boat must check in by 3:00 p.m., and the auction and prize ceremony begins at 3:30 p.m. at the camp.

Boaters can register at any of the five participating locations on the day of the event.

All proceeds go toward enhancing services and opportunities for people with disabilities and special needs in the region.
