Just in time for “spooky season,” New York Times best-selling horror author Grady Hendrix will visit Clemson University, with a one-man show at the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts Thursday, October 16, at 6 p.m. Tickets for the show are $25 and books will be available for purchase at the event. Hendrix’s performance will tie into his latest novel, “Witchcraft for Wayward Girls,” and is described as “a wild flight into the blackest night as we investigate the world of witchcraft in books and movies and witness an army of broomstick-brandishing, curse-hurling, baby-eating, world-renouncing, unkillable, unstoppable, unbeatable witches!”

Hendrix is a native of Charleston and a graduate of New York University. A former freelance journalist and movie critic, he has written for Playboy Magazine, Slate, The Village Voice, the New York Post, Film Comment and Variety. In 2002, he co-founded the New York Asian Film Festival.
