Acclaimed Author Elana K. Arnold Visits Richland Library

Richland Library invites teens, children, and book lovers of all ages to meet acclaimed author Elana K. Arnold on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 3–4 p.m. at Richland Library Main (1431 Assembly Street, Columbia, S.C.)
Arnold, renowned for her critically acclaimed picture books, chapter books, middle grade, and young adult novels, will discuss her writing life, collaborations, and award-winning works. Titles include The Blood Years, winner of the National Jewish Book Award and Sydney Taylor Book Award; Damsel, a Printz Honor winner; and What Girls Are Made Of, a National Book Award finalist. Her popular series A Boy Called Bat, has been selected for the Global Read Aloud program and her books have garnered numerous starred reviews and accolades.
Following the discussion, attendees can purchase books from All Good Books and enjoy a book signing. Arnold’s presentation offers young readers a chance to feel seen, understood, and empowered through stories that illuminate the world around them.
