Charleston County School District expands transparency with launch of Employee Compensation Public Dashboard
December 18, 2025As part of its ongoing commitment to openness, accountability, and public trust, Charleston County School District (CCSD) has launched a new Employee Compensation Public Dashboard, providing the community with access to salary information for district employees earning $50,000 or more. This marks the first time CCSD has released a comprehensive, publicly accessible dashboard detailing employee compensation in this format. The dashboard allows users to view salary data, reinforcing the district’s commitment to transparent stewardship of public funds.
The Employee Compensation Dashboard builds on CCSD’s broader transparency efforts, including the recently launched Weighted Student Funding Public Dashboard, which details how resources are allocated to schools based on student need, and the Procurements Over $250,000 Dashboard, which provides visibility into major district contracts and expenditures per school.
“Transparency is not a one-time action; it’s an ongoing commitment,” said Superintendent Anita Huggins. “By making this information easily accessible, we are reinforcing our responsibility to our community and ensuring stakeholders can clearly see how public dollars are invested to support students, schools, and staff.”
CCSD’s transparency dashboards are designed to present complex financial information in a clear and user-friendly manner, helping families, employees, community members, and policymakers better understand how district resources are allocated and managed.
“These tools reflect our belief that trust is built through clarity,” Chief Financial Officer Daniel Prentice added. “When the public has access to timely, accurate information, it strengthens confidence in our systems and our decision-making.”
The Employee Compensation Dashboard, Weighted Student Funding Dashboard, and Procurements Over $250,000 Dashboard are all available on the district’s website and will be updated in real time as part of CCSD’s commitment to continuous improvement and public accountability.
