Fountain Inn Police Seek Community Feedback as Part of Reaccreditation Effort

February 18, 2026

The Fountain Inn Police Department is inviting residents, business owners, and visitors to share their thoughts as the department works toward reaccreditation through the South Carolina Law Enforcement Accreditation (SCLEA) program.

Accreditation is a voluntary process that evaluates law enforcement agencies against rigorous professional standards in areas such as training, policies, operations, and accountability. Achieving and maintaining accreditation demonstrates a department’s commitment to excellence in public safety and service.

As part of the reaccreditation review, the department has launched a community survey to gather feedback on its overall performance, professionalism, and effectiveness. Officials say public input is a critical component of the process and helps ensure the department continues to meet the needs and expectations of the community it serves.

“Our goal is to provide the highest level of service to Fountain Inn,” the department shared. “Hearing directly from our residents helps us grow, strengthen trust, and identify areas where we can improve.”

The survey is brief, voluntary, and open to anyone who lives, works, or spends time in Fountain Inn. Responses will be used to support the accreditation review and to guide future improvements in policing services.

Community members are encouraged to take a few minutes to participate and share their perspectives.

The department expressed appreciation for the community’s ongoing support, noting that partnerships between law enforcement and residents are essential to maintaining a safe, strong, and connected city.
