Greenville County Schools to host in-person job fair at Plain Elementary

As part of an ongoing effort to fill critical support roles across the district, Greenville County Schools (GCS) will host an in-person job fair on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. The event is scheduled to take place at Plain Elementary School in Simpsonville from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Opportunities for Support and Service Roles

The district is looking for individuals ready to make a direct impact on student success through various hourly and support positions. Representatives from the GCS Human Resources department will be on-site to discuss current openings, which include:

• Bus drivers and bus aides

• Custodians

• Food service operators

• Special education classroom aides

Competitive Pay and Benefits

Greenville County Schools recently implemented updated pay rates to remain competitive in the local job market. For the 2025-2026 school year, starting hourly wages for these positions are as follows:

• Bus Driver: $22.56 – $24.96

• Special Education Classroom Aide: $18.00 – $21.50

• Bus Aide: $16.53 – $18.17

• Custodian and Food Services: $16.31 – $18.09

In addition to competitive pay, the district offers a comprehensive benefits package for employees who work 30 or more hours per week.
