What critters live within oyster reefs? Discover the answer with SCDNR Wildlife Biologist Nick Plaisted during an oyster bag dissection in the Discovery Center classroom. Participants will examine oyster clusters using forceps and magnifying glasses to search for biota, then use guides to identify the organisms.

Recommended for ages 6 and up; children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult. Disposable gloves will be provided. (Exertion level: Low impact – sitting, examining oysters while wearing gloves).
