In this exciting new program, participants will create artwork using plants and sunlight! Get inspired by examples from the collection of Visiting Scholar Dr. Erica Walker, then explore outside to pick out some interesting plants to use. Participants will use watercolor paper and pre-coated fabric; this creative process is accessible for all ages (no darkroom or hazardous chemicals required). Leave Hobcaw with brand-new art pieces to display at home!

Recommended for ages 6 and up; children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants should wear clothes they are willing to get messy, dress for the weather (and the possibility of biting insects), and wear closed-toe shoes. Participants may bring some plant pieces or other materials from home if desired. (Exertion level: Moderate impact – walking on uneven terrain, standing, crafting)
