Dominion Energy strengthens electric system in Batesburg-Leesville; temporary outages expected for some customers

Dominion Energy will perform critical upgrades to its system in the Batesburg-Leesville area this week. The work will require temporary power outages for approximately 110 customers from approximately 7-10 a.m., Wednesday, June 3.

The work is part of a multiyear project to enhance the reliability and resiliency of the Batesburg-Leesville region. This investment will increase redundancies to harden Dominion Energy’s system and help reduce the potential for frequent or sustained power outages in the area.

Thursday’s work will impact customers along portions of Church Street, Columbia Avenue and Hendrix Street, among other roads. The impacted area is highlighted on the attached map.

Affected customers have been notified by mail or email.

WHAT:            Dominion Energy crews will perform upgrades to a substation and power lines.

WHEN:            7-10 a.m., Wednesday, June 3.
