The Carolina Lady Anglers are gearing up for their 28th Annual Fishing For the Cure Tournament, taking place Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Charleston Rifle Club. The annual tournament brings anglers and the community together to enjoy a day of saltwater fishing while raising funds to support local breast cancer patients through After Care Essentials.

The Carolina Lady Anglers are currently seeking local businesses and individuals interested in supporting the tournament through sponsorships and donations. Proceeds from Fishing For the Cure benefit local breast cancer patients, continuing the club’s longstanding commitment to giving back to the Charleston community.

The mission of the Carolina Lady Anglers is to raise funds to help those affected by breast cancer while fostering good sportsmanship, promoting conservation and encouraging participation in saltwater fishing.

The tournament is open to men, women and children of all ages. A Captain’s Meeting and registration will be held Wednesday, September 23, at 6 p.m. at the Charleston Rifle Club, located at 2221 Heriot Street in Charleston. The tournament will take place Saturday, September 26 and the weigh-in will be held from 5–6 p.m. at the Charleston Rifle Club. An awards ceremony will follow the weigh-in.

Adult entry is $40, while youth ages 12 and under may enter for $15. Entry includes a tournament T-shirt, bucket, dinner and beverages. The event will also feature a kids raffle, regular raffle and silent auction prizes, along with an opportunity to participate in the tournament Calcutta.

This year’s eligible species include King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Flounder, Sheepshead, Trout, Ladyfish and Dogfish, with a Mystery Fish also to be announced at the Captain’s Meeting. Awards will be presented across multiple species categories, along with Outstanding Male, Female, Youth Male and Youth Female Angler awards.

In addition to the fishing competition, the Captain’s Meeting and tournament events provide an opportunity for anglers, families, sponsors and community members to come together for a great cause. Food will be provided by Swig & Swine, and live music will be performed by Butch Martin.

The Carolina Lady Anglers have a long history of supporting local breast cancer patients through Fishing For the Cure. The organization’s annual fundraising efforts have generated significant contributions for After Care Essentials, with $20,000 raised for local breast cancer patients through last year’s tournament.
