Second Helpings is a nonprofit food rescue organization serving Beaufort, Jasper, and Hampton counties. Our mission is to eliminate hunger and food insecurity by rescuing nutritious food that would otherwise go to waste and distributing it, free of charge, to local nonprofit partners serving neighbors in need.

More than 500 dedicated volunteers make this work possible, collecting and delivering food through a network of 55+ agency partners that help serve more than 14,000 people each week. We also purchase fresh produce and proteins to expand access to healthy meals throughout our community.

Since 1992, Second Helpings has rescued and distributed more than 60 million pounds of food. Rescuing food, fighting hunger, and delivering hope.
