A Child’s Haven Announces Interim Director & 2012 Board of Directors

GREENVILLE, SC – March 1, 2012 – Following the recent resignation of Executive Director Arthur Avitabile, Kimberly Cooley will be assuming the role of Interim Executive Director beginning March 5th, 2012.  Avitabile has been Executive Director for over two years but is returning to his former community in Louisville KY to serve as Executive Director at a similar non-profit.

Cooley, who has served on A Child’s Haven Board since January 2008 and is Immediate Past President, is eager to assume the temporary duties of Executive Director and the Board is happy she will take the reins until a new leader is found in an executive search, which is expected to take up to four months.

“Kimberly has extensive knowledge of the organization, its operations and mission, which will allow for a seamless transition during the interim period between Directors,” said President Landra Jennings.

Jennings also announced the new Board Members for 2012: Holly Rollins-10-x Group;  Angela Villiger-CEMEX;  Tinsley Maness-ScanSource and Brendan Gower-NAI Earle Furman. They are joining existing Board Members: Landra Jennings-new President; Sandra Miller-VP; Leanne Jaskwhich-Treasurer; Thomas Way-Secretary; Bruce Bannister; Dr. Mary Fran Crosswell; Scott Ferguson; Julie Garrett; Kim Newell; Maya Pack; Peter Andrew Rutledge; and Robert Whitley Wilkins.
