Sitting with others who’ve faced the same fears and procedures gave me strength. We shared our stories, our struggles, and our hope. Today, as Barbara moves beyond treatment, LCCA remains a part of her life. “They still consider me family, and I look forward to giving back. If I can comfort just one person who feels the shock and fear I did, then I’ll have found my mission in life.” She now attends monthly meetings not only for her own continued strength but to help uplift others.
