AAF of the Midlands to Host Local Art Auction
August 13, 2018The American Advertising Federation (AAF) of the Midlands will host their annual Kickoff & Art Auction featuring Midlands artists on Thursday, August 16 at City Market Place in the Vista from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. The free event will benefit local artists and AAF of the Midlands’ 2018-2019 programming and mission, “to protect and advance advertising interests and education.”
“Our Kickoff & Art Auction is one of my favorite events of the year because it allows our creative membership base to connect with the local arts community,” said Lenza Jolley, president of AAF of the Midlands. “We have the ability to give back to Midlands artists while raising money for our yearly programming at the same time.”
Programming that will benefit from this event will be the organization’s monthly professional development luncheons, evening networking events, an oyster roast and live media auction, and the American Advertising Awards, which recognizes and honors advertising creatives in the Midlands.
Several local artists will be featured, including Lucas Sams, Sean McGuiness, Alicia Leeke, and Barbie Mathis. For more information about the AAF of the Midlands, to register for the AAF Kickoff & Art Auction, or to learn about the “Early Bird” membership discount, please visit www.aafmidlands.com.
