ACL Airshop promotes Tony Morgan to Vice Chairman
February 1, 2018ACL Airshop, a leader in products and services for the global air cargo industry, announced the promotion of Anthony Morgan to the role of Vice Chairman. Previously its President & CEO for over 12 years, Mr. Morgan has been with the company and its predecessors for 25 years. He is a graduate of Cornell University, where he was an All-American varsity lacrosse player. Tony Morgan engineered the recapitalization of the ACL and Airshop enterprises ten years ago, and merged them into a fast growing air cargo services juggernaut as one strong brand, ACL Airshop. The business more than tripled during his CEO tenure. In 2016, he successfully negotiated for multiple institutional investment companies and Ranger Aerospace to infuse new strengths for taking ACL Airshop to its next level. Tony Morgan remains on the Board of Directors of Ranger Airshop Holdings, Inc. (parent company), is a substantial shareholder, and will be a key advisor to the company’s management and its investors as Vice Chairman of ACL Airshop LLC.
Morgan has been instrumental in vaulting ACL Airshop to aggressive new levels of competitiveness in the past several years. Noteworthy accomplishments in Tony Morgan’s distinguished air cargo leadership career spanning nearly three decades include the introduction of one-way ULD leasing, the world’s first FAA Certified air cargo strap, and developing an exclusive lease fleet of lightweight pallets and nets. Perhaps his greatest accomplishment is building the industry’s only true one-stop-shop for air cargo, a complete vertically integrated company that provides Leasing, Sales, Repairs, Manufacturing and ULD Control. Morgan has overseen the near-doubling of the company just in the past two years, growing the worldwide network from 27 to 46 airport hubs, and broadening its supply chain into China and Taiwan in addition to USA and Germany. He and his team initiated the new Bluetooth ventures of ACL Airshop with CORE Transport Technologies, creating first-to-market technology leadership for his firm, and thereby opening a whole new level of customer service for airlines who desire real-time tracking of ULDs.
For 2018 and beyond, the Company plans to ramp-up its hub investments around the world. Tony Morgan, in his new role as Vice Chairman, said: “Looking to the future, I have full confidence in our Management Team, these executives are the best in the world at what they do. We will continue to grow our network utilizing a customer-driven strategy.
ACL Airshop intends to invest for growth in each of its lines of business, and expand geographically to keep pace with rising industry trends. The headquarters is near Greenville, SC, and the main international office is in Amsterdam, NL. Other hubs include Hong Kong, Shanghai, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Dallas, Dubai, Bogota, Sao Paulo, Tokyo, and many other major air cargo sites around the world.
