Aloft Greenville Downtown Announces General Manager Jonathan Brashier

Greenville native and award-winning hotelier returns to Greenville to managethe new Aloft Greenville Downtown

GREENVILLE, SC –  McKibbon Hotel Management, Inc. is proud to announce the appointment of Jonathan Brashier to the position of General Manager at the Aloft Greenville Downtown slated to open November 2015. Brashier, a Greenville native, will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the trendy lifestyle hotel located at ONE City Plaza in downtown Greenville.

“I couldn’t be more excited about returning home to Greenville to open the new Aloft. I have been absolutely amazed at the growth and excitement around downtown,” said Brashier. “I am honored and humbled that McKibbon has chosen me to lead this exciting project for our company. I can’t wait to get there and hit the ground running.”

Brashier has more than 20 years of hotel management and operations experience with brands such as SpringHill Suites by Marriott, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn by Marriott and Aloft.  A graduate of Spartanburg Methodist College, Brashier joined the McKibbon team in 2000 and most recently managed the Aloft in Tallahassee, Florida. Prior to his role at Aloft, he served in various managerial positions with Marriott, winning the Opening General Manager of the Year Award by Marriott International, Marriott Diamond General Manager Award and a national Marriott Sales Excellence Award.

Located at Greenville’s ONE City Plaza, the Aloft Greenville Downtown, a Starwood Hotel and Resort lifestyle hotel, will sit atop a new 474-space public parking garage and feature 144 spacious, loft-like rooms, leading-edge technology and a lively, social atmosphere. It will be the brand’s second hotel in South Carolina and the third Aloft hotel developed by McKibbon Hotel Group, joining Aloft Asheville Downtown and Aloft Tallahassee.

The hotel will feature a rooftop level with cabana rooms, fire pit, dog walk and a sun-filled outdoor pool elevated for views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, all facing Washington Street. Aloft brand’s signature W XYZ® bar and café will also be on the rooftop level overlooking the plaza. Local artwork from Greenville artists will decorate the hotel’s public spaces and local, emerging musicians will play at the hotel’s live music series, Live @ Aloft.
