Amanda Herlihy appointed executive director of SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities Foundation

The SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Herlihy as its new executive director. She served as the Foundation’s interim executive director since January and previously served as the director of development since 2018.
“Through her strategic vision and collaborative approach, Amanda will lead the Foundation in expanding its reach and further strengthening its impact on the arts community,” said Terry Grayson-Caprio, chair of the board. “Her fundraising background and her demonstrated leadership ability combined with her deep passion for the arts will help advance the Foundation’s mission. We have every confidence in her ability to lead the organization to new heights of success.”
Herlihy brings a wealth of non-profit and fundraising knowledge to her new role. Prior to joining the Governor’s School Foundation, she was the associate director of individual giving at Roundabout Theatre Company and the senior development manager at The Film Society of Lincoln Center, both located in New York, NY.

A native of Cortlandt Manor, New York, Herlihy holds a bachelor’s degree in fine and performing arts and arts management from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. She serves on the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Piedmont Chapter as the vice president of communications. Herlihy began her position on June 1, 2023.
