Amazon donated $15,000 worth of science lab materials to South Carolina Science Academy on Wednesday, August 30, 2017. The donation helps supply the science lab with much-needed materials for the Academy’s students to conduct sophisticated science experiments this academic school year. Science lab equipment included beaker sets, Bunsen burners, pH meters, dissection pans and tools, test tube racks, microscopes and much more.

After the donation presentation, associates from Amazon’s West Columbia Fulfillment Center and Senior Operations Manager Tim Storey were led through various science experiments with students, utilizing the equipment purchased. The donation is part of Amazon’s ongoing commitment to give back in local communities where its employees work and live.
