American Legion Post 25 Prepares for Fifth Annual Toy Run on Saturday, November 2

October 29, 2024

American Legion Post 25 is gearing up for its fifth annual Toy Run on Saturday, November 2nd, an event dedicated to bringing holiday cheer to children in need across the community. This milestone year sees even more community involvement, with a range of participants helping to collect toys for local families.

The Toy Run has become a cherished tradition for American Legion Post 25, highlighting their commitment to supporting families during the holiday season. This year, additional support from local schools and businesses will help amplify the event’s reach. Laurens High School, all Laurens middle schools, Big Air, and Harper Commons are joining the cause, with each location offering collection boxes where community members can drop off new, unwrapped toys.

Event Schedule:

  • Registration: 9 – 11 AM
  • Kickstands Up: 11 AM

The ride will start at 1500 Western Square Drive (Old BILO) and finish at Big Daddy’s on 915 Church Street, where riders and supporters can gather to celebrate the event’s impact.

Kevin Farnsworth, Commander of American Legion Post 25, shared his thoughts on this year’s Toy Run, saying, “This is our fifth year, and the support has been incredible. The Toy Run isn’t just a ride; it’s a symbol of our community coming together to create lasting memories for children and families in need. Each toy and every dollar donated amplifies the spirit of generosity that defines who we are as a Legion family. Let’s ride for a cause and make this holiday season brighter for our local children.”

Mark your calendars for November 2nd, and join American Legion Post 25 and the many community partners in spreading holiday cheer to families across Laurens County. Let’s ride for a cause and ensure every child experiences the joy of the season.
