Amy Coward To Be Inducted into Public Relations Society of America’s Esteemed College of Fellows

COLUMBIA, SC – Amy Coward, APR, Fellow PRSA, has been selected as a 2014 Fellow by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Board of Directors. She is among 15 public relations professionals nationwide who will be inducted into the esteemed College of Fellows at a ceremony to be held at the PRSA International Conference this fall in Washington, D.C.

Coward, vice president of Public Relations at Palmetto Health Foundation, has an extensive and diverse career in public relations that spans non-profit, advertising agency and corporate sectors. For more than 25 years, she has been a mentor who excelled in the public relations profession and provided service and leadership not only to the profession but also to her community. She earned the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) distinction, has been an active member of the South Carolina Chapter of PRSA and has held leadership positions at the district level.

The PRSA College of Fellows recognizes notable public relations leaders and advances the professionalism and reputation of public relations practice and education. College members provide mentoring for public relations professionals and students, support PRSA in the execution of its strategic plan specifically in the areas of advocacy and education, and create and sponsor a continuing education “Master Class” for advanced professionals each year during the PRSA International Conference. The College of Fellows, founded in 1989, is a community of more than 300 senior PRSA members who have advanced the public relations profession and distinguished themselves through their experience and leadership in the public relations industry.
