Amy Tinsley named Executive Director of the South Carolina Automotive Council

The South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (SCMA) announced that Amy Tinsley has assumed the role of Executive Director of the South Carolina Automotive Council (SCAC). Previous Executive Director, Catherine Hayes, resigned in September. Hayes was instrumental in the growth of the SCAC and the South Carolina Automotive Summit and was responsible for many areas of innovation for the Council.

“Amy is the perfect person to continue the work of the Council. She will play a key role in advancing the interest of the automotive industry in South Carolina. She is uniquely qualified to lead this important organization. We look forward to her service to the Council and the SC Manufacturers Alliance,” said Lewis Gossett, SCMA President and CEO.

Amy joins the SCAC after spending eight years in the utility industry, most recently working with the President of Duke Energy South Carolina leading strategy and planning. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Presbyterian College and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business.

She lives in Greenville with her husband and son.
