Andrew Brandt named West Ashley High School Principal

The Charleston County School District (CCSD) is delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew “Andy” Brandt as the new Principal of West Ashley High School.

Brandt has been a dedicated, data-driven educational leader in CCSD for twelve years. Most recently, and since July 2023, he has served as the Associate Principal at West Ashley High School, where he established and managed the MTSS team, implemented a continuous improvement framework, and successfully collaborated with stakeholders to enhance the school’s scheduling and safety measures.

Throughout his tenure, Brandt has shown a deep commitment to students, including his work stewarding students through the college application process and demonstrating his investment in their future. His commitment to academic excellence has been evident as he engaged directly with students, families, and the community.
