Ania Suber and Kate Hughes join Garvin Design Group
June 14, 2023Columbia architecture, interiors, and planning firm Garvin Design Group recently welcomed two new teammates. Ania Suber, a Clemson University School of Architecture graduate, joins the firm for the first time this summer as an Architectural Intern. Kate Hughes returns to the firm for a second summer as a Marketing Intern.
Born and raised in Columbia, Ania Suber graduated from Dreher High School in 2019 and is a new graduate of Clemson University School of Architecture. During her time at Clemson, Suber minored in Business Administration and was a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and the student branch of the National Organization of Minority Architects (cNOMAS). Ania is creativity driven with an artistic mind, which led to her interest in architecture, a love for rendering, and the ability to see a project through from beginning to end. In her time as a member of the Garvin Design Group team, Ania looks forward to site visits, as well as developing efficiency in software programs like Enscape and Revit.
Another Columbia native, Kate Hughes graduated from A.C. Flora High School in 2020 and is now a rising senior at the University of Mississippi studying Marketing. She will complete her undergraduate studies in May of 2024. Kate’s interest in advertising and branding inspired her interest in marketing and her summer internship in the field. In her second summer with Garvin Design Group, Kate will further develop her experience and skills in social media, advertising and promotions, press relations, graphic design, data analytics, and business development.
“We are so fortunate to welcome so many talented young people to our firm this summer,” said Scott Garvin, Garvin Design Group President. “We are glad to be busy and excited to have so many new faces on our team. New talent makes us better.”
