AnMed Health Foundation honored generous donors
April 23, 2018It is with great thanks to the 2,336 contributors that The AnMed Health Foundation is able to provide life-saving treatments to citizens throughout the community. The foundation’s 2017 highlight project was the purchase and commission of the brand new AnMed Health mobile mammography coach which offers greater access for more than 2,000 patients to receive lifesaving screenings in our region.

Contributors were recently recognized at a Donor Appreciation Luncheon and two special awards were given. Dr. Harry Morse was presented with the Physician Champion Award, which recognizes exceptional physicians who champion the foundation’s fundraising efforts in support of AnMed Health’s mission to passionately blend the art of caring with the science of medicine to optimize the health of patients, staff and community.
Mary Anne D. Lake received the Distinguished Service Award, which is an honor bestowed on individuals who have consistently demonstrated extraordinary commitment, dedication and service to AnMed Health, Anderson County and the surrounding communities. Its purpose is to serve as a tribute to exemplary foundation volunteers who have donated their wealth, work and wisdom to better our community.
Bonitz Flooring Group, Inc.; AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital affiliated with Encompass Health; and Greg and Bunny Shore were recognized at the luncheon as new inductees in The White Coat Society. It honors individuals or corporations that through their generous philanthropy are setting the standards of contributing to the foundation’s efforts to enhance the health and well-being of the entire community. All members of the White Coat Society have given cumulatively at least $100,000 to the AnMed Health Foundation
The featured speaker at the luncheon was Eddie Thompson, Ed. D, the founder and CEO of Thompson & Associates, the nation’s premier charitable estate planning firm.
