Anna Ross promoted to vice president of operations for Jeep Rogers Family YMCA and future Kershaw County Family YMCA

December 2, 2025

The YMCA of Columbia announced the promotion of Anna Ross to vice president of operations for the Jeep Rogers Family YMCA and the future Kershaw County Family YMCA.

In her new role, Ross will oversee operations, staff development and strategic planning at Jeep Rogers Family YMCA while also supporting planning and preparation for the Kershaw County Family YMCA, which is expected to break ground sometime in 2026.

Ross has served the YMCA of Columbia since 2018. She began as membership director, was promoted to associate executive director and most recently served as director of operations and program innovation. In that role, she supported membership and aquatics operations across the association and helped advance initiatives focused on program quality, safety and growth.

Ross’ connection to the YMCA began in early childhood through swim lessons, an experience she credits with shaping her leadership philosophy of meeting people where they are and fostering a sense of belonging.

“Anna has been a wonderful and respected leader to staff and members at the Northwest Family YMCA,” said Jim Vietti, CEO. “We are excited and proud to see her step into this role and bring her leadership and passion to serve families across the Midlands and help shape the future Kershaw County Family YMCA.”

The promotion follows the departure of Scott Balkcum, former vice president of operations for Jeep Rogers, who has accepted the position of chief executive officer with the YMCA of Metropolitan Columbus, GA.
