The Historic Lorick Plantation House (Lake Murray Country Visitors Center) steps back in time to Christmas season 1840 for our Annual Holiday Open House. Area Garden Clubs and volunteers – including Coldstream Garden Club, Newberry County & Friends, Pisgah Lutheran Church and the Saluda Garden Club transform the Visitor Center into a Christmas haven with period decorations, including live and dried plant materials and this year the theme is Murray Christmas.

The Lake Murray Country Visitors Center has a NEW Souvenir Shoppe with lots of great gifts for the season. In addition, Santa will be available for photos from 10am-12pm on Saturday, Edventure Children’s Museum will have kids crafts, Golden Fork Bakery will be selling goodies and Scott Benny’s Food Truck will be on site.

Capital City/Lake Murray Country is one of the state’s eleven tourism regions promoting tourism in Columbia, Lake Murray, Lexington, Newberry, Richland and Saluda Counties. The Visitors Center is located on Highway 6, 2184 North Lake Drive in Columbia.
