Anthony Kent appointed president and Broker in Charge of Cothran Homes, LLC

Cothran Homes, a developer of multi-family, residential subdivisions, and townhome developments, has promoted Anthony Kent as president of Cothran Homes. Kent will also serve as Broker in Charge of Cothran Homes and will oversee the sales, design and construction and marketing of the company’s growing and expanding residential offerings across the Upstate of South Carolina.
In 1997, Kent joined Cothran Properties, which was founded in 1986 by real estate developer Mark Cothran, as a property accountant. In 2001, Kent was promoted to senior property manager and later promoted to director of operations managing and developing the companies’ commercial, retail and Class A office properties. In 2013, Kent was named director of new home sales, and in 2017, he was promoted to vice president of the new homes division where he has been spearheading the development and expansion of the Cothran Homes division.

The Cothran Properties team develops the land for their new residential communities, and the Cothran Homes division designs, constructs and brings new communities to the market. Cothran Homes currently has homes for sale in desirable neighborhoods throughout Mauldin, Simpsonville, Greer, Travelers Rest and Greenville, South Carolina.
Kent attended Clemson University and earned his B.S. degree in accounting in 1997 and has an M.B.A in Finance, which he earned in 2002. As a regular speaker on new home sales strategies, he is also a member of the National Association of Home Builders with industry certifications as a New Homes Sales Professional and New Home Marketing Professional.
