Applications available for the 2016 Commissioner’s Cup BBQ Cook-off
February 4, 2016Barbeque grill masters and backyard enthusiasts are invited to compete for the State Championship Title at the 2016 Commissioner’s Cup BBQ Cook-off and Festival, March 18-19, at the State Farmers Market in West Columbia.
The event is sanctioned by the Southern BBQ Network. The non-refundable entry fee is $150 and includes all categories. The categories and prizes include:
“Boston Butts” winning trophies and cash awards of $1900
First place – $1000
Second place – $600
Third place – $300
“Pork Ribs” winning trophies and cash awards of $1900
First place – $1000
Second place – $600
Third place – $300
Cookers competing in Butts & Ribs are eligible to be awarded as
Grand Champion $600
Reserve Champion $300
“People’s Choice” winning a trophy
