Applications open for Charleston Metro Chamber’s 2026 Lowcountry Business Accelerator Cohort
November 20, 2025The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce has opened applications for the 2026 Lowcountry Business Accelerator, an eight-month program designed to equip small business owners with the structure, insight and support they need to scale with intention. Applications will be accepted throughout the month of November and the upcoming cohort is limited to 10 participants.
Built for business owners who have moved beyond the start-up stage and are ready for purposeful growth, the program provides a guided environment to step out of daily demands and gain fresh perspective. Ideal candidates have at least two years in operation, employ at least one additional team member and hold the authority to shape their company’s direction. The program pairs these committed entrepreneurs with mentors, strategic tools and a peer network that helps them strengthen leadership, refine operations and chart a strategic course for growth.
“Small businesses are at the heart of our region’s economic vitality,” said Celeste Granger, Senior Vice President of Programs and Initiatives at the Charleston Metro Chamber. “Owners who are ready for their next step often need space and structure to think differently about where they want to go. The Lowcountry Business Accelerator gives them these tools. It helps them move from reacting to daily pressures to making confident, informed decisions that position their business to thrive long term.”
Participants take part in monthly structured sessions and mentor meetings focused on business development, strategic planning, financial management and operational clarity. Throughout the experience, they work toward a customized growth plan that will guide future decisions and support long-term sustainability. Mentors include a mix of Chamber partners, supporters and previous program participants who understand the realities of building a business in the Lowcountry.
Orientation for the 2026 cohort will take place December 15, 2025. The cost to participate is $1,500.
