Art, Healing, and Self-Discovery Take Center Stage at Solo Show at The Artists’ Coop

January 27, 2026

A unique and deeply personal art experience is coming to downtown Laurens as The Artists’ Coop hosts a solo art show featuring Daria Cronic on February 7, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Cronic’s creative journey blends art, spiritual exploration, and life coaching into a message of healing, reflection, and self-discovery.

More than a traditional art show, the event invites visitors to slow down, look inward, and consider how creativity can open the door to meaningful personal transformation.

When Art Meets Emotional Healing

At the heart of Cronic’s work is a question many people quietly carry: Why do so many of us feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, anger, or emotional overwhelm?

Through both her art and her coaching practice, Cronic works with individuals who feel they have “lost the sweetness in life.” Her focus is on helping people reconnect with their inner voice, make heart-centered decisions, and move through life transitions with greater clarity and self-awareness.

Much of her work centers on recognizing how daily behavior is often shaped by old roles, past trauma, or cultural expectations rather than authentic needs. Using a blend of reflective practices and creative exploration, she helps clients interrupt unhealthy patterns, take accountability for their lives, and develop healthier ways to self-soothe and self-regulate.

She describes the creative process as a way of accessing, releasing, and transforming life experiences, using art as a pathway to emotional and spiritual integration. “Art gives us a way to hear ourselves again,” Cronic said. “Sometimes the canvas can say what words cannot.”

A Journey That Led to Intentional Creativity

Cronic’s path into this work began in 2005 when she returned home to help her aging parents make peaceful and dignified life transitions. At the time, she was working in education — a career she loved — but she found herself emotionally depleted and searching for a more authentic, balanced way to live.

In 2010, that search led her to the Carolina Spiritual Science Center, where she spent four years pursuing ministerial ordination and exploring deeper spiritual practices. That season of learning helped her cultivate a more conscious connection with her faith and a growing awareness of the inner life.

Still, it wasn’t until the global slowdown during COVID that everything truly shifted.

With the world forced into stillness, she finally experienced relief from what she describes as the constant rush of everyday life. In the quiet, she joined a local online art group led by Jeannie Browning. Week after week, she created simple pieces and shared them in a supportive creative community. Fellow artists introduced her to foundational elements of art-making and, more importantly, gave her the confidence to explore deeper creative practices.

That’s when she discovered Intentional Creativity — an international movement that uses the creative process as a tool for healing, self-discovery, and spiritual growth. After experiencing its transformational impact firsthand, she pursued additional training and became a certified Intentional Creativity coach and teacher.

“Painting became a form of prayer and listening for me,” Cronic said. “It’s a way to reconnect with wisdom that’s already inside.”

An Alchemical Artist’s Vision

Today, Cronic describes herself as an alchemical artist, using creativity as a path of devotion, self-recovery, and insight. Her artwork often features the feminine form as a symbol of humanity, compassion, and divine connection. Through color, symbolism, and layered imagery, her paintings reflect themes of awakening, conscious compassion, and personal transformation.

Her work is not just about creating something beautiful, but about the inner journey that happens along the way. She views art as a bridge — a way to move from overwhelm to clarity, from fragmentation to wholeness.

“I want people to feel a sense of coming home to themselves,” Cronic said. “Art can be a gentle guide back to that place.”

An Invitation to Experience the Therapy of Art

Visitors to the February 7 show will have the opportunity not only to view Cronic’s artwork but also to learn how art can be used as a therapeutic tool. For those who struggle with racing thoughts, emotional overwhelm, or major life decisions, the creative process can offer a calming, clarifying space to reconnect with what truly matters.

For those who want to try the process themselves, The Artists’ Coop is offering a special hands-on workshop at a deep discount.

The six-hour “Therapy of Art” workshop will be divided into two sessions:
February 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m
February 28 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m

The workshop will be held at The Artists’ Coop, located at 113 Laurens Street in Laurens. The cost is $100, and all paint, brushes, and canvases will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring a smock if desired, a journal or paper, a pen or pencil, and snacks or a beverage.

Connecting Art and Community

By sharing her personal journey and creative process, Cronic hopes to encourage others to explore a more reflective, heart-centered path. Her solo show serves as both an exhibit and an invitation — to pause, to create, and to rediscover the inner voice that can so easily be drowned out by the noise of daily life.
