Nick Burns aka Ninja Picasso, Visual Arts
Nick “Ninja Picasso” Burns is a multi-disciplinary visual and Greenville-based performing artist. Nick began his career at the early age of 5 playing drums at a Baptist church and drawing on the back of sermon programs. His journey in the arts started in 2012, and he became a full-time artist in 2018 after gaining a residency in West Greenville.
In 2023, the Greenville Homeless Alliance announced that it was partnering with Nick on the creation of a community mural called Seen|Heard|Valued. The 47-ft-high mural painted on the back of Triune Mercy Center‘s sanctuary features eight stories of hope that honor those experiencing homelessness in Greenville.
The Goal? For those experiencing homelessness to be seen, heard, and valued in a way that brings us together as a connected community, committed to finding solutions to end homelessness.
