Ashleigh Sutter receives excellence in Accounting and Finance Award
November 9, 2015GREENVILLE, SC – Elliott Davis Decosimo announced that Ashleigh Sutter, a senior manager in the firm’s Greenville office, received an Excellence in Accounting and Finance Award from the Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance (AFWA).
Sutter was recognized at the AFWA National Conference Excellence Awards and Capstone Breakfast held in Pittsburgh on October 28. She was the sole honoree in the Emerging Leader category, which recognizes AFWA members age 35 or under who have set the standard of excellence in their professional lives through leadership, mentoring and career achievement.
Sutter assists with reviewing client work and is involved in business development for Accounting Resources activities in Greenville. She created a training program for onboarding and engaging new accounting resources staff as well as a training program for process improvement firmwide.
“Ashleigh is a huge asset to both the Greenville office and the firm’s Accounting Resources team,” said Mike McGuigan, Greenville office managing shareholder. “She coaches and mentors several employees and cares deeply about the professional development of her team.”
Sutter is president of the Greenville AFWA chapter and serves on the AFWA National Nominating Committee. She is involved in other professional organizations as well, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
