December 4, 2018

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Carolinas Chapter honored over 70 projects collectively worth $950 million at the 17th annual Excellence in Construction Awards Gala on November 15, 2018, in Charlotte.

The Excellence in Construction Program is the industry’s leading competition that honors both general and specialty contractors for innovative and high-quality Merit Shop construction projects. The awards recognize all construction team members on each project, including the contractor, owner, architect, and engineer. The winning projects, selected from entries submitted from ABC members located in North Carolina and South Carolina, were judged on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges overcome, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety and cost.

“The ABC Excellence in Construction Program showcases the quality construction done day-in and day-out in our communities by the industry’s leading companies throughout the country,” said Angela Latino, CEO of the ABC Carolinas Chapter.

The top honor of the Excellence in Construction Awards is the Project of the Year Award presented to a General Contractor and a Specialty Contractor member. To earn this prestigious award, contractors must demonstrate a superior level of performance in all aspects of judging.

Edifice was honored with the General Contractor Project of the Year Award for the MEDIC Headquarters & Operation Relocation located in Charlotte, NC.
